10.28. Beijing by night | 3D printing workshop

将每个单独设计打印的元素组合在一起会产生怎样的化学反应?书院新一期的3D打印课“Beijing by night ”,将通过带领大家嵌入LED模块,设计打印组合成自己的灯光作品来一同寻找答案。   What happens when individually designed and printed elements are combined to become a new creation? Beijing by night, a 3D printing workshop at the Courtyard Institute attempts to answer this question by inviting participants to design and print their own module, add an LED and combine the modules into a light sculpture.

在这个有趣的动手体验的活动中,每一个参加者都能熟悉3D建模并了解如何设计并打印出3D模型,课程适合入门的和有一定经验的乐于动手的童学们。 In this fun and experimental workshop, participants will become familiar with 3D modeling and will learn how to design and 3D print a model. This course can be attended by both beginners and advanced makers.

你将有机会熟悉Trimble SketchUp,而每个人也有机会使用我们的Up2 Plus 3D打印机。每个人的打印作品可以课后带走,只需要每人支付50元的成本物料费即可。
This 3 hour course will cover the basics of 3D modeling in Trimble SketchUp and will offer participants the chance to print on one of our Up2 Plus 3D Printers, courtesy of Beijing Tiertime Technologies. The individual element can be bought after the presentation for 50 RMB.
Please bring your own laptop and mouse to the workshop.

* David Doepel
Designer, Cultural Educator
David is an Austrian designer, his installation was a part of the Beijing Design Week in 2014. He has been involved in Chinese Cultural Education with Courtyard Institute over the last year. He is a graduate from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the Department of Sinology at the University of Vienna. One of his areas of focus is Chinese Cultural Design.
* Leandro Rolon
Architect, Designer
Leandro is an American architect and designer with over 10 years of 3D Printing expertise. Throughout his career he has contributed to the realization of numerous large-scale projects spanning a total of four continents and hosted numerous 3D printing events in Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Beijing. He is a graduate from The Southern California Institute of Architecture (sci-ARC), which is widely regarded as one of the most avant-garde U.S. architecture schools, with a reputation for pushing the boundaries of academic study and design.
* Diana Guzijan
Designer, Art & Design teacher
Diana is a Dutch designer, who moved to Beijing in 2015. She is a graduate from both Delft University of Technology and Amsterdam School of the Arts. Over the last years she has been developing and leading many creative workshops, using digital media as a tool to take a better look at the world around. She worked for various schools and art institutions, including ZB45 Makerspace and the Rijksmuseum, both located in Amsterdam, where she, amongst other programs, designed and led courses for both adults and children.
